Our commitment
We want everyone who visits surestayhousing.co.uk to be able to find the information they need — whether they are a property owner interested in our management services, a partner organisation, or someone seeking to understand how we can help house vulnerable individuals. We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target standard.
Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-off task, and we are committed to reviewing and improving our website on a regular basis.
How accessible this website is
We have reviewed our website and can report the following on its current state of accessibility:
Known limitations
We are aware that some parts of our website may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. These currently include:
- Some images may not yet have fully descriptive alternative text
- Certain interactive elements may not be fully operable by keyboard alone
- Some areas of the site may not yet meet the required colour contrast ratios
- Embedded content or documents may not be fully accessible to all screen readers
We are actively working to address each of these. If you encounter a problem not listed here, please let us know.
Accessibility and our service users
Important
SureStay Housing works with and on behalf of vulnerable individuals, including people experiencing homelessness, mental health difficulties, domestic abuse, or other challenging circumstances. We understand that some of the people our website may reach face additional barriers to accessing information online.
If you are seeking housing support and find our website difficult to use, please contact us directly — by phone or email — and we will do everything we can to help you or signpost you to the right support. We will never let a digital barrier stand in the way of someone getting the help they need.
If you are a council, charity or support organisation acting on behalf of a vulnerable individual, please also feel free to contact us directly to discuss housing options and referral arrangements.
Alternative formats
If you need any information from our website in an alternative format — such as large print, plain text, or a different file type — please contact us and we will do our best to help. We aim to respond to such requests within 5 working days.
Browser and assistive technology support
Our website is designed to work with modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, and should be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies including screen readers and keyboard navigation tools. If you experience compatibility issues with a specific browser, device or assistive tool, please let us know so we can investigate.
